THE PARTNER STANDARD
What Dray checks before sending a live brief.
A recommendation should be explainable. Before a moving partner receives a live enquiry, Dray asks for evidence about who they are, the work they can perform, the insurance information they provide and the way they will handle the customer.
01
Identity and trading details
Dray asks for the mover's legal or trading identity, contact details and the name of the person responsible for the relationship. The company that has quoted is identified to you before you decide whether to proceed.
A brand name or good conversation alone is not treated as sufficient evidence. The details supplied should be consistent across the quote, contract, invoice and payment instructions.
02
Insurance information
Before sending a live brief, Dray asks the mover for current evidence of the insurance they say applies to their work. The selected mover must then give you the relevant information, limits, exclusions and claims process for your particular booking.
Dray does not provide the moving insurance or interpret a policy as legal advice. You should read the mover's documents and ask about anything unusually valuable, fragile or owner-packed before booking.
03
Capability and job fit
Dray considers the move against the partner's stated service area, crew and vehicle capacity, access experience, packing capability and handling experience. A partner may be suitable for one brief and not another.
Where a move involves artwork, antiques, instruments, unusual weight, difficult access or building rules, those details should be discussed before the partner is asked to price the job.
04
A quote you can actually review
The mover is expected to provide a written scope and price with the main assumptions, exclusions, payment timing and date or availability conditions. Dray relays that proposal and can ask the mover to clarify an ambiguity before you decide.
Your contract is with the mover. Their written quote and terms—not a summary on this website—remain the source of truth for the booked service.
05
Customer data has a boundary
During quoting, Dray sends the relevant job details to one suitable mover at a time without sharing your name, telephone number or other direct contact details. If the first mover cannot take the job, the brief may be tried with another partner sequentially.
Contact details are shared with the selected mover only when you choose to proceed. Partners are not permitted to use an enquiry for unrelated marketing or pass it to other moving companies.
06
The check continues
Dray records problems raised about communication, quoting or service and can pause further introductions while a concern is reviewed. Updated insurance or trading evidence may be requested periodically or when circumstances change.
These standards explain the process; they are not a guarantee that no service problem can occur. Tell Dray promptly if an introduction does not meet the standard described here. You can also read exactly how the introduction works.
Have a move that needs the right fit?
Tell Dray what needs moving. We will use the brief to choose one suitable partner at a time and bring their quote back to you.
